OSRAM AirZing ™ is a new generation UVC (Puritec HNS) professional lamp with one tube Ultraviolet tube that allows an effective purification / disinfection of surfaces and air.
Designed in Germany, OSRAM AirZing PRO 5040 consists of an OSRAM HNS UV-C lamp, integrated ballast, an infrared safety sensor for presence detection
The power consumption of the AirZing PRO 5040 is 40W, with an average lamp life of 9000 hours and a 3 year product warranty.
AirZing can be mounted on the ceiling or wall, the height for a standard installation is 2.5-4 meters and the coverage area is 10-20 m2.
It allows you to eliminate up to 99% of microorganisms present in the air and surfaces in about 30 minutes. For larger surfaces, a longer cycle (1h) or the use of more lamps is recommended.
It has been used extensively with surprising results in the fight against Covid-19 in Chinese hospitals in Beijing and Wuhan, facilitating the reduction of the propagation and transmission of the virus thanks to its use of sanitizing and sterilizing environments hospital where it was installed.

The UV-C ultraviolet radiation used is specific (253.7 nm) and differs from the A / B radiation that we know (the sun's rays) as harmful since it destroys the DNA of bacteria without compromising human health.
ATTENTION: However, exposure to UV-C rays is not recommended, and that is why a sophisticated presence detector is installed on the lamp for the safety of people. Furthermore, like other types of UV rays, UV-C radiation causes a deterioration of the exposed surfaces, to be evaluated at the time of installation.
We recommend the use of an external timer to limit the use of AirZing at certain times and with a consecutive use limit not exceeding 60 minutes, to reduce the deterioration of the surfaces to a minimum.
AirZing has been designed for heavily frequented places such as hospitals, medical and dental offices, waiting rooms, administrative offices, shops, car rentals, shops, schools, gyms, sports halls, shopping centers, lifts, access doors to banks and public bodies , theaters, cinemas, conference rooms, auditoriums, etc.
ATTENTION: the use of AirZing for the sanctification of environments does not replace the normal cleaning of the premises. In fact, dirt is a natural fertile ground for the proliferation of germs.
